The aircraft has been developed since the 1950s. However, this does not mean that the aircraft is outdated! This excellent design from 1955 is still in production today, and nearly 50,000 have been built since then. Over the years, it has been improved in every aspect and made into a very versatile but above all very reliable aircraft, carrying over 50 years of experience in aircraft design. Those and more are keywords that come to mind with the Piper Cub. We mainly use this two-seater for banner towing, especially because it can fly slowly. Your text is then easy to read. It is also used for towing gliders and training for tailwheel flying. Besides having very useful qualities, it is also a beautiful piece of history within the Royal Netherlands Air Force.
