Hour requirements
For a Night rating, the student pilot must have at least a PPL. The course consists of:
- at least 5 hours of flying at night
- at least 3 solo landings at night
- at least 1 overland to another airport
There are options for LAPL holders to also obtain the Night rating, please feel free to contact us.
The theory
The theory part for the Night Rating takes place during the practical training and no additional exams are required.
Validity
The Night Rating always remains valid. To be allowed to fly with passengers at night, one must:
- Have made 1 take-off and 1 landing in the last 90 days
- or have a valid instrument rating
